Pretty in Ink

Pretty in Ink
New work by Meg Hunt, Miniature Mouse and Naomi Nowak

Opens April 6th, 6-9pm (First Friday)
Grass Hut Gallery
811 e. Burnside
Portland, OR 97214

Meg Hunt lived by the ocean for a while, and then picked everything up to live in the hot desert. Her love of messes led her to printmaking, and she finds her inspired by old pieces of machinery, monster legends, outsider culture, pop influences, music, and many other random things. These inspirations spill out into strange worlds where monsters comingle with vagrants, bad habits become badges of courage, pretenders find friends, and generally just a lot of weirdness takes place.

it looks like Le Merde has outdone themselves once again. Le Merde hand-crafted toys are full of pure joy and this time techno-colored brains. Grass Hut is the only place in town, where you can find these lovely BurgerBuns, so hustle your tooshy down here.

Gang Green Theeng

Todays studio painting session was messed up by a world of green. Apak and Billy Galaxy say "green is the new gold". Portland's mosses are in full bloom right now. It's Eco-Groovy!

Happy St. Patties Day!!!

bakoba volcano sunset

Last week two gigantic boxes from japan showed up at the hut. The boxes were full of crazy yellow polka-dotted dino eggs. From these eggs little squeeky bakoba toys hatch. These toys are the lastest in the Bwana Spoons/Gargamel collaborations. The little bakobas are based on some crazy vintage toy mold and the color schizm was invented by Bwana. We have 3 different color schizmz that look even better with spring sunlight beaming through them.
$40 each.
